The cold drawn precision welded tubes, manufactured by Liberty, is produced by drawing ERW (electric resistance welded tube) through a die and over a mandrel plug. During this process the sizing (wall thickness, inside and outside diameter), as well as weld integrity and surface finish is closely controlled to produce tube of the required size and mechanical property characteristics.
 

Range and supply conditions

Our precision welded tube is supplied in sizes from 0.8mm to 4.4mm in wall thickness and 6mm to 76.20mm for outside tube diameter, in random, fixed, semi-fixed or multiple lengths depending of customers' requirements. Customers can also specify the supply condition of the tube which is available in the following variations:

  • Soft or hard drawn
  • Heat treated
  • Normalised
  • Soft annealed
  • Stress relieved
  • Tempered

Standards conformance

All cold drawn precision welded products manufactured by Liberty are fully compliant to EN-10305-2 (DIN 2393) as well as ISO 9001, TUV, Lloyds UK and MoD.

Manufactured entirely in the UK and from raw materials of proven origin, all of our tube is of the highest quality and offers optimum performance for your applications. Tubes are also available in a number of steel grades - from mild to low alloy steel - to suit various customer requirements.
