Liberty Drawn Tubes has a history of supporting both Motor Sport enthuisiast as well as locomotive restoration societies with specialist products.

Our cold drawn seamless tube (in materials such as E355 or 4130) as well as T45 are often used for the construction of roll cages in motor racing. Both materials have superior bending and welding qualities, combined with enhanced strength, which makes them ideal for these safety critical applications. T45 has better strength performance and is lighter than regular cold drawn tube. For these applications we recommend the use of cold drawn tube in the above grades.

Locomotive restoration societies, on the other hand, usually require our long length drawn tube reduced at one end and swaged up at the other. This is used in the restoration of Steam Railway Locomotive boilers. We also supply Superheater Fire Tubes (BS3602) for the railway locomotive preservation sector.

Our tight production tolerances coupled with a variation of heat treatment processes available, result in tube products that are suitable for various further manipulation and applications.

Therefore should you have any requirements or need advice of which type of tube is most suited for your project, please contact us and we will be happy to advise. If our products are not suitable for you we will be able to help you locate the right tubing based on your application and budget.
